Hunting, Fishing and the Outdoor Life

Have you ever wanted to learn more about hunting and fishing? How about cultivating your hobby throughout a full school year? Do you wish to know more about yourself, break some personal boundaries perhaps, and - at the same time - learn about the wilderness?
Have you wondered about how it would be to experience the Northern Lights shimmering across the evening sky with the smell of pine from logs burning on the camp fire and newly caught trout frying in the pan? If so, then, this is something for you! You need no previous knowledge of hunting or fishing, only an interest in the outdoors life.

The county of Finnmark and the Pasvik valley, is a veritable eldorado for those interessted in hunting, fishing and the wild and wonderful life outdoor. Here you'll find wild regions more than well stocked with birds and fish. The natural world will be your classroom and when we are out and about, we'll spend the nights in tents, snowhuts, wood cabins or basic shelters made up for the occasion with whatever material available. The possibilities for hunting - and fishing is excellent and there for you to enjoy, also during your spare time. It is all here, right outside your bedroom window.

You will become familiar with the wild and varied nature as it presents itself to you during the three seasons you spend with us. In all in it's splendour, the variety is vast, from sheltered forest of fir (taiga), glorious mountains, wide open spaces, to coastal shores and fjords. Move around on foot, on skis, with dog sleigh, with canoe or kayak.
Experience
Get hypnotised by the glowing amber from the camp fire after a full day moving around in the wilderness. Struggle to reach the summit above and feel the joy whilst taking in the splendid view. Experience the excitement as you set off down the mountain on skis over untouched, virgin snow. Sweat it out whilst enjoying a sauna. How about a "dip in the snow" afterwards? Huddle up in your sleepin bag whilst listening to white grouse courting in the mild, early summer night. Experience the feeling of togetherness as it developes between people who depends on, and trust each other.
"As I was sitting outside my snow hut looking with awe at the starry sky above, I heard silence for the first time - I shall never forget that!"

"Tracks in the snow told me that a huge, wild bird had recently been here looking for food. Suddenly it appeared, and with a surprisingly loud, crashing sound from flapping wings, it took to flight. The adrenalin rushed through my veins as I hurried the shotgun to my shoulder. Mopingly I stood there, for again, the wood-grouse had tricked me. Perhaps next time, I thought."
